Boundless Lands Accomplished Primary Care Doctor

For more than forty years, Boundless has provided person-centered care, including residential support and vocational habilitation, autism services, psychiatry, counseling, and other resources to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral health challenges. It has expanded its portfolio of skilled healthcare professionals to NOW include a medical veteran with more than twenty years of experience treating patients of all ages.

Dr. Cindy Ripsin joins Boundless as a board-certified family medicine physician and is poised to offer a multifaceted skillset of healthcare services to the community. She works collaboratively with the executive director and other members of the senior leadership team to execute the organization’s clinical strategy.

As chief medical officer of Boundless Health – the newest addition to the Boundless family of companies – Ripsin provides leadership and direction to clinical staff and executes overall goals of its health center and primary care clinics. She also provides high-quality, evidence-based medicine by partnering with patients and family members to empower them to reach their highest potential, fulfilling Boundless Health’s mission and vision.

Most recently, as medical director of the federally qualified health center for Galveston County, TX, Ripsin was a faculty member of academic family medicine programs and garnered vast experience from her role as medical director at many institutions.

Prior to joining Boundless, Ripsin was a medical research scientist at the University of Minnesota, where her study of oat products as a healthy way to lower cholesterol was recognized by the American Heart Association. She attended medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, and, after residency, treated and cared for patients as a solo family physician in rural Virginia for six years.

Boundless addresses a critical need for care among people with I/DD and behavioral health challenges. With the support of its partners on the federal, state, and community levels, it continues to expand service offerings to close the gap in health disparities in the service area. Boundless is in a unique position to address these needs, given its successful history of serving the most vulnerable communities.
